Do you charge sales tax?
We are required to charge sales tax only to customers in the State of California at the current rate of 7.75%. Uncle Jerry needs your money. :(
Where do you ship other than within the United States?
We ship to Australia, the UK and all of Europe.
What do these stamps cost in my currency?
I hope to eventually be able to display estimated currency values in $Canada, $Australian, €Euros, £GBP in addition to $USD. The store is set up in $USD because The Craft's Meow is located in the United States and all transactions take place in $USD. You can check the current exchange rate at XE. This is an estimate only, because currency values fluctuate daily, but it should give you a very good idea of the price in your own currency.
How do I clean my stamps?
I clean mine with unscented baby wipes... a generic brand that contains no alcohol. If your stamps are really stained, you could use a stamp cleaner specially formulated for clear photopolymer stamps, Using Stazon ink and/or cleaner is not recommended (or at least not on a frequent basis) because the solvent base will weaken the stamps over time. You can use a mild soap and water to restore the stickiness of the stamps if necessary.
Why can’t I add an item to my cart?
The store is configured to NOT accept orders for out of stock items. If the item is still shown in the store, then it is likely on re-order and will hopefully be back in stock very soon. I will keep folks informed about restocking time estimates on the store blog and in the News area of the store
Do you have an Angel Policy?Yes, we do. The Craft's Meow gives permission for their designs
to be used on items to be sold ONLY if they are hand-made and
hand-stamped. Reproduction of
these designs in any other medium – electronic or mechanical – without
written permission, is strictly prohibited. You should check the Angel Policy for any other stamp companies whose stamps are sold at The Craft's Meow.
What are your stamps made from, and how do I use them?
The Craft's Meow stamps are made in the USA from high grade non-yellowing photopolymer resin. These polymers are designed and produced for the printing industry and are meant to carry and transfer ink, which is why they stamp so well.
There is no specific life span on photopolymer clear stamps, but with proper use and general cleaning and care they should last as long as traditional rubber stamps.
Photopolymer is latex free and has NO known ingredients that are harmful to you. The materials used to produce these are bio‐degradable and are also not harmful to our environment.
Naturally sticky back: These stamps have an excellent back adhesion, allowing repositioning on an acrylic block for stamping. Storage on plastic keeps the stamp back sticky and clean for many years.Easy storage: Stamps can be peeled off an acrylic block and stored on plastic in a folder taking up little space or put back in the original packaging.
Ink compatibility: These stamps are designed to work excellently with all water based inks which account for over 90% of all stamp ink use. They will work with solvent inks, but prolonged use may weaken the stamp.
TIP – When you first use a new stamp, take a moment to ink it up and stamp a few times on scratch paper to prime the stamp. Alternatively, especially for solid images, you may find that rubbing a good quality eraser or very fine emery board gently over the face of the stamp before you start will help to prime the surface.
